Grantees & Regranting Program
In March of 2025 we were excited to be able to launch our regranting program for innovative human-animal coexistence initiatives with the intention of opening up a competitive marketplace of individuals and organizations doing excellent work unifying the inseparable welfare of humans, animals, and the environment, thereby allowing AHAC to set in motion initiatives and intentions that wouldn’t otherwise have the means to get off the ground. Through an appointed regranting/advisory committee, AHAC has the opportunity to serve as a vehicle to meaningfully include regional experts and perspectives in the grant-making decisions shaping the future of animal advocacy—a space which is currently dominated by western and Eurocentric philanthropic perspectives. In this way, AHAC’s uniquely structured regranting process seeks to simultaneously serve as a means of facilitating mutually beneficial exchanges of knowledge and ways of thinking on how to harness the potential of philanthropy to solve human-animal coexistence issues.

Strategic Partnerships
At the Alliance for Human Animal Coexistence we work to develop partnerships and collaborations with a diverse range of global and community-based organizations to help us jointly influence, implement, support, and research human-animal coexistence interventions. We are particularly focused on developing partnerships with organizations and institutions that embody a One Health approach, explicitly bringing together human, animal, and environmental considerations. Currently we partner with a wide range of reputable animal protection, conservation, veterinary, research, and educational organizations and institutions based primarily between the United States and Africa with the goal to create mutually beneficial and reciprocal exchanges that further our shared goals and priorities.
